Welcome to the website of HeadStart Training.
HeadStart Training is a north east England based training provider that provides training and project support for practitioners working with children of a variety of ages. Please refer to the Services link for further information on the main strands of work that are regularly undertaken and to the Sample Courses link to look at sample workshop and course outlines. However, if you have a staff or service development need that is not listed in either of the links please contact us to discuss this as we may be able to help.
Kirstin Tate, proprietor, has worked as a primary school teacher, school counsellor and educational psychologist since graduating with a degree in psychology and then a PGCE in 1996. She is particularly interested in children’s social and emotional development (including conflict resolution), positive behaviour management, peer support and language and literacy development.
Kirstin possesses an enhanced CRB certificate and professional indemnity and public liability insurances are in place. Please refer to the Policies link to view these, and a range of other service policies such as Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Confidentiality.
